About

The project studies the perspectives of early childhood educators and teachers from the 1st Cycle of Education (CEB), of prospective teachers and educators in their initial training, of children and families, on the educational transition from Pre-School to 1st CEB, a fundamental and structuring phase in the process of learning and development. Several studies highlight the child's perception of his or her preparation for transition; continuities and discontinuities; beliefs of teachers; children's emotional and social dimension. It is intended to identify pertinent information that increases the knowledge about this reality, improving the training of the professionals in exercise and initial training, contributing to an articulation that promotes educational success. The goal is to build a teacher training plan and create working groups for the development of transition programs in schools. In the second stage, where we are now, we will collect: information, by questionnaire, applied to families, after the child’s transition to the 1st Cycle of Basic Education; the individual and collective view of the child about its integration and adaptation to the new educational stage, focusing the capture of evidences of continuities and discontinuities in the educational transition, and the perspective of the professionals, through the application of questionnaires to the educators of childhood and teachers of the 1st CEB.
