About
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to improve the skill level of the adult population in Portugal by fostering the participation rate of adults in lifelong learning, especially among those with very low basic skills. The specific objective of this project is to contribute to the design, in Portugal, a National Plan for Adult Literacy.
The project, supported by the European Commission, is promoted by the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) - a transnational, non-profit association of non-formal adult education in Europe, with 142 members in 44 countries -, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Portugal and the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (P.PORTO), through the involvement of its Centre for Research and Innovation in Education (InED – Centro de Investigação e Inovação em Educação). InED provide the project with the necessary expertise for research and analysis and also contribute to the dissemination of the projects.
