The project develops the systematic collection of the Hand Configurations that integrate the gestures in Portuguese Sign Language, in multiple contexts of occurrence, provoked and spontaneous, in databases and dictionaries, analyzes their particularities and subsequently proposes a linguistic recategorization capable of structuring their inventory . This project aims to establish operational objectives in pedagogical contexts, for linguistic reflection and learning of PSL, valuing the importance of linguistic knowledge in the didactics of PSL.
