Following the Artistic Residency program at the Fábrica de Cerâmica São Bernardo, and during the preparatory meetings for the exhibition “Prometheus fecit:…” at the Museu Nacional de Soares dos Reis, to present the works produced by 15 Portuguese and Brazilian artists , the relevance of promoting a research project that would allow collecting and safeguarding information about the art of ceramics was reiterated. The research project focuses on the material and immaterial heritage integrating people, objects, tools and manufacturing spaces emblematic of the practice and production of Ceramics in the North region.
