Uaiana is a researcher at the Center of Investigation (inED) of the School of Education (ESE) in the Polytechnic of Porto (IPP). She has a degree in Mathematics Teacher Education from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2008), Brazil. She has a master’s in Education from the Federal University de São Carlos (2011), Brazil, and a P.hD. in Education from the University of Lisbon (2022), Portugal. She has experience in Education, focusing on Education and Technology, acting on the following subjects: Distance Education, Education and Technology, Mathematics Teacher Education, Communities of Practice, Activity Theory, pre-service teacher, and Initial Teacher Education.
